Kellymoss Celebrates Double Podium in Inaugural Porsche Endurance Challenge Posting P1 and P3 in Cayman GT4 Class

FITCHBURG, WI 5/28/2024 - Kellymoss, seasoned championship Porsche racing team, posted impressive results this past weekend in the inaugural Porsche Endurance Challenge at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, with not one, but two, podiums in the Cayman GT4 class. The first place finish was achieved by the newly paired partnership of Michael Clark and Loek Hartog for Team Kellymoss. The Kellymoss team of Jason Golan and Alexandre Prémat also earned a third place finish to dominate the Cayman GT4 podium. The second step on the podium was secured through the formidable partnership of renowned actor and Porsche racer Patrick Dempsey, alongside former Porsche factory driver Patrick Long.

This past weekend marked the first of three intense endurance races for the new series announced by Porsche just a few short months ago, which will then be followed by a longer 4-hour endurance race, also at COTA, in October. The Porsche Endurance Challenge has been enthusiastically received by drivers, both amateur and pro, who see the opportunity to test their skill with required pit stops, driver changes and a packed field of new competitors as a welcome challenge.

"It's a natural progression for Porsche single-make racing to offer drivers the opportunity to test alternative racing strategies, including working as a team and compensating for the additional wear and tear on the car that extended time on track brings,” said Andy Kilcoyne, CEO and co-owner of Kellymoss. “It’s also a great way to continue building our drivers’ racing resumes as they seek to climb the Porsche racing ascension ladder.”

Kellymoss also supported two other powerful inter-team partnerships. The combination of Niels Meissner and John Gilliland, finishing 7th in class after starting from 13th, and Bill Peluchiwski and Andrew Davis fighting to finish after being the victim of an unfortunate hit that resulted in a fight to complete the race with an injured car.

“Going beyond the parameters of sprint racing and offering a new level of racing experience and education to more of our driver clients and our team is a great opportunity for Kellymoss,” shared Victoria Thomas, Kellymoss CFO and co-owner.“We place a high value on teamwork with our drivers even when they are often competing against one another. It’sextremely rewarding to see partnerships fostered and take flight in such a short time. We see it as a tribute to the collaborative culture we have worked hard to cultivate and our drivers have embraced.”

The Kellymoss team is poised to continue their Porsche Endurance Challenge success at Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI, on August 11.
