2021 Champion Stays with Kelly Moss for 2022

2021 Porsche Sprint Challenge Champion Remains with Kelly Moss Making a Run for the 2022 Carrera Cup North America

February 22nd, 2022 (Madison, WI) Michael McCarthy, the 2021 Porsche Sprint Challenge Champion, is back with Kelly Moss for the 2022 Carrera Cup Season.

“My goals for 2022 are to improve. Every time that I go onto the track I aim to become a better driver.”

McCarthy grew up driving go karts from the age of five until he was 18. 2021 was his first full season in a Cup Car and despite limited experience, he blew the competition away and went on to win the Inaugural Porsche Sprint Challenge Championship (PSCNA).

“The Kelly Moss team is amazing. All of the people that I work with are incredibly professional,  the team always gives me a perfect car. I would never even think about racing with anyone else, honestly.”

McCarthy will be driving one of three Kelly Moss Racing for Children’s cars, as he did last season in PSCNA but this time in Carrera Cup.

“I’ve had an incredible experience representing Racing for Children’s. I’ve met so many great people and I’m so blessed to be able to represent the charity and support the kids. I’m ecstatic to be able to run my car with them for a second year.”

“Bringing Michael into the Kelly Moss family as one of our up and coming young talents last year in the Porsche Sprint Challenge was a real treat,” Jeff Stone, Founder and Racing Director of Kelly Moss said. “The move up to Carrera Cup North America and the new Porsche 992 will surely challenge Michael to dig deep and fight every lap in his #7 Racing For Children's entry. We are Kelly-Moss Road and Race and WE ARE RACING FOR CHILDREN'S every day!”
