Wayne Ducote is a family guy. Lucky for him, his family loves racing just as much as he does. In fact, his sons are the reason he started racing in the first place. He started about 10 years ago after one son said he should start racing in Prototype Lites. Wayne, along with his other son and Kelly-Moss driver, David Ducote, took up that challenge and have spent the last eight years in IMSA. After getting in the car, Wayne realized he enjoyed racing, which was relaxing to him. Every corner is a challenge, but he doesn’t back down. He lives by the motto “work hard, play hard.” Ducote is trying to get a third-generation racer with his 14-year-old granddaughter. Outside of racing he likes playing tennis, riding dirt and road bikes, free-diving, spear fishing and anything with a boat.
“Paul Barnhart introduced me to Jeff (Stone) and Kelly-Moss, and there has been nothing but good things since I started. The product, personnel and service; nothing can compare. It is a grade-A organization from top to bottom.”
